William Shakespeare was an English poet, playwright, and actor, widely regarded as the greatest writer in the English language and the world's greatest dramatist. This is a brief timeline of William Shakespeare's plays. Featured plays are Romeo and Juliet, A Midsummer Night's Dream, Hamlet, Othello, Macbeth, Cleopatra and Antony, and Tempest.
